IDE creates income and livelihood opportunities for the rural poor in developing countries.

We do this through low-cost technologies, agricultural training, and linking farmers to markets. Where possible, we work with local manufacturers, artisans, and suppliers.

Since 1982, IDE has helped 19 million people move out of extreme poverty. For every donor dollar invested in one of our programs, our customers generate an average of $10 in additional household income.
